Integrating Perseptiv and the Fi360 Fiduciary Focus Toolkit™ requires the report automation add-on (if not already activated) within Fi360. If your current Fi360 subscription doesn't include this add-on you'll need to upgrade your subscription first to use the integration. Follow the steps below.
Upgrading Your Fi360 Subscription
Complete steps 1-3 to purchase the report automation add-on (if not already activated) and then add the Perseptiv Endpoint.
1. The billing user logs into Fi360 and clicks the gear icon in the top right corner.
2. Click on the subscription tab and then click to modify the Toolkit subscription.
3. Toggle on the "Webhook" add-on and then click NEXT. It will show a quick pro-rate screen with the $ amount to charge today as it will pro-rate based on your next billing date. Accept that and it will be activated.
Integrating Perseptiv + Fi360 Fiduciary Focus Toolkit™
1. In Perseptiv, go to "Settings" on the left hand menu and click the "Manage Firm" tab.
2. Make sure the "Enable Fi360 Integration" toggle switch is turned on. Then copy the "Webhook URL for Fi360 Monitoring Reports (Completed)" and head over to your Fi360 account to connect your firm's Perseptiv account and Fi360 account.
3. In Fi360, click on the "Applications" tab within the Settings area. Then, click on Webhooks and then ADD ENDPOINT.
4. Copy the Fi360 Webhook endpoint URL that is shown within Perseptiv.
5. Paste that into the Fi360 URL box and then select the "events" that you want to trigger the transmission. You can enter a short description for your own reference and leave the child workspaces toggle unselected unless you have many workspaces within your subscription.
For the Perseptiv integration, you can only use only the 'Toolkit: Monitoring Report Completed' event.
You can control this event very explicitly to avoid sending draft reports that are not finalized. So, you would use the Toolkit to generate a 'client ready' version and review it to ensure it's good to go. When you are ready, you can then mark that report as complete (individually or using our batch utilities) which will then trigger the event to send the data to Perseptiv.
One-Time Setup for Each Plan
Now that you have the Webhook endpoint setup, you just need to ensure that the clients in the Fi360 Toolkit can match up with the Plans in Perseptiv. Follow the steps below.
1. Within Perseptiv, navigate to the Companies tab and copy the "FI360 REFERENCE" field for each plan. These reference numbers are system generated and cannot be edited. You can also retrieve this information in bulk download by using the CSV download.
2. Within the Fi360 Toolkit, navigate to the Clients tab and click to edit a client's details.
3. You will see a field for "External Client Id". Paste the value from Perseptiv into this field and save.
4. Now, any Monitoring Report you mark as 'complete' for this client will automatically be sent to Perseptiv on an ongoing basis. Within Perseptiv, you will see a record for each quarter with a drill-in to the plan holdings and details. Fi360 sends the following key data points:
- Assets
- Participants
- Fund Information (ticker, name peer group, assets per fund, watch list status, current Fi360 score, and historical Fi360 scores).
We store this information on a quarterly basis and you will also be able to retrieve the Monitoring Report PDF within Perspetiv. You can also generate and download an Investment Holdings & Watch List snapshot from Perseptiv.
5. In addition, Perseptiv will automatically update your fee history with assets and participants and we now track these values on a quarterly basis instead an annual basis as previously done. These automatic updates streamline the need for manual updating assets and participants and immediately update any Cost Management reports (Plan Fee Benchmark, Historical Cost Trend, etc.).
